People who are most underserved technologically will ultimately lag further behind if they are not exposed to emerging technologies. AI Solutions (AIS) is committed to the cost-effective deployment of community based resource and centers of instruction employing computer-based multimedia information and telecommunications technologies as part of a strategic plan to promote economic self-reliance among the most disadvantaged communities in general, and women in particular. AIS also specializes in the development of solutions and programs that incorporate accessibility options to help people with disabilities fully participate in today's high tech world (section 508 compliant).
AI Solutions developed on behalf of the Durham Housing Authority (North Carolina, USA), a GED Online training program and virtual classroom that provides an opportunity for adult learners to engage in learning experiences that prepares them for the General Education Development (GED) test, while at the same time exposing them to computers and related technologies. The program recognizes that today, adult learning is taking place in an Information Technology (IT) society that involves extensive use of technology in everyday life, is information rich, and focuses more on the “use” rather than the “acquisition” of information.
AI solutions also developed the Training for Information Technology (IT) Jobs (TrainIT) e-learning training/retraining program targeted at the segments of the US population that are severely underrepresented and underserved in IT occupations as well as workers who had been displaced or at risk of losing their jobs. The specific set of capabilities and activities pursued by the program are driven by the needs of US Technology and advanced manufacturing firms.
AI Solutions has provided monitoring and evaluation support to a number of organizations as well as international donor agencies, including the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Department for International Development (DfID), and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
